Abstract

The basic animal epidemic prevention system is an important component of animal epidemic
prevention work, which is directly related to the healthy development of animal husbandry, public health safety
and animal product quality and safety. The current situation of animal epidemic prevention in China is still very
grim, and the existing grassroots animal epidemic prevention system has been difficult to meet the requirements
of animal epidemic prevention work, and further reform and improvement are urgently needed. The purpose of
this article is to study grassroots animal husbandry and veterinary animal epidemic prevention work and talent
team building. This article first introduces the relevant content of animal disease prevention and control, and
points out the important role of grass-roots animal husbandry and veterinary in animal husbandry industry. Then
it conducted an in-depth study on the current situation and existing problems of the grassroots animal epidemic
prevention system. Aiming at the problems in the epidemic prevention system, this paper puts forward the
relevant strategies of grassroots animal husbandry and veterinary animal epidemic prevention work. Based on
this theory, this article takes a city as a research object and conducts a questionnaire survey on grassroots animal
epidemic prevention staff. The main problems and contradictions in the current animal epidemic prevention
system are discussed: the shortage of staff is serious, the aging of personnel is serious, and the contradiction of
the veterinarian's professional level is notable. According to the principle of statistics, a statistical analysis of the
professional and technical level of the subjects under study was carried out. Among them, the number of senior
professional titles was only 3, accounting for less than 1%.
