Prevalence and risk factors associated to Cryptosporidium spp in hair lambs of the Municipality of Culiacán, Sinaloa, México

In order to determine the prevalence and some risk factors assciate t Cryptosporidium spp in air lams a transversal cross sectional study in the Municipality of Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico was developed. A total of 23 sheep production units (SPU) with two different production systems were evaluated. Lambs between 1 and 90 days of age were considered among the animals sampled; a total of 1140 fecal samples were collected and stained with modied Ziehl-Neelsen technique to nally be observed under oil inmersion objective (100X) allowing the protozoan identication.
