There are relatively many research papers dealing with the distribution and chemical nature of efferent neurons innervating genital organs in animals. Therefore, by means of combined retrograde tracing and double-labelling immunofluorescence, the present study was aimed at disclosing the patterns of putative co-incidence of tyrosine hydroxylase, dopamine β-hydroxylase, neuropeptide, substance, calcitonin gene-related peptide and nitric oxide synthase within the efferent neurons supplying the oviduct in the pig.
