Abstract

Cattle have been found to be the principle reser­voir for E. coli strains that are transmitted to humans through foods contaminated with fecal material. The aim of this study was to analyse, the presence of the E. coli strains of the O157 serogroup isolated from cattle and from pigs using polymerase chain reaction.
